Healthcare and technology are both crowded spaces filled with brands that often feel cold, corporate, or overly functional. athenahealth sat directly between those two worlds, which created an interesting challenge: how do you make a highly technical platform feel intelligent without losing the human side of healthcare?

Most competitors communicated through generic healthcare imagery or dense product messaging. We wanted athenahealth to feel more emotionally aware and more connected to the realities of modern care rather than simply presenting itself as another software platform.

The Campaign:
The campaign repositioned athenahealth as a more connected and human presence within healthcare IT.

Instead of focusing purely on product features, we built stories around the real experiences happening inside modern healthcare. Issues like clinician burnout, disconnected patient data, administrative overload, and the complexity of care itself.

This included large-scale campaign spots like “Lonely Data” and “Olivia,” alongside a global rollout spanning digital, brand, social, product, and experiential touchpoints.

The Visual Language:
The visual identity moved away from the sterile aesthetic common within healthcare and tech marketing.

We used color, movement, metaphor, and layered storytelling to make technical subjects feel more approachable and emotionally engaging. A modular “cluster” system was developed to represent more than 30 medical specialties, helping create consistency across a massive ecosystem of communications and products.

The broader visual language combined CG, photography, illustration, and motion into a system that could scale across the brand while still feeling cohesive and recognizable.

 We created custom “clusters” representing over 30 medical specialties and developed a motion language that brought consistency and dynamism across all touchpoints. Anchored by cinematic campaign work — including the hero spots “Lonely Data” and “Olivia” — the revitalized brand set a new benchmark for health-tech storytelling.

Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whisky, first bottled in 1934, is one of America’s most iconic rye whiskeys. We were tasked with helping relaunch the brand for a modern audience through an integrated campaign, refreshed identity system, and redesigned website.

The Opportunity:
A long-standing staple on backbars, Rittenhouse has historically seen much of its success through on-premise sales — a reflection of its loyal following within the trade.

As we looked at the broader whiskey category, we saw an opportunity to avoid the traditional luxury positioning that dominates the space and instead lean further into Rittenhouse’s deep-rooted relationship with cocktail culture.

“Cocktail Creatively” was developed as a call-to-action to the industry — encouraging bartenders to revisit the roots of classic cocktails and rediscover Rittenhouse as a foundational rye whiskey behind the bar.

The integrated campaign extended across digital, social, OOH, retail, and web, alongside a national bartender competition developed in partnership with VinePair that challenged bartenders across the country to create original cocktails using Rittenhouse Rye.
The Visual Language:
Because the strategy centered around the trade, the visual system was designed to feel tactile and expressive. We wanted the complex processes of cocktail-making to reflect in the choices we made.&#38;nbsp;

Close-cropped hand photography referenced the gestures and rituals of bartending, while scribbled notes, markings, recipes, and layered textures echoed the experimentation and spontaneity behind creating cocktails.

We also created a set of brand guidelines for them, codifying the use of their logo as well as adding the sections that we worked on to extend and relaunch the brand into today’s market.

We conceptualized and held a photoshoot to capture the visual elements we wanted to base the campaign around, and began to create the collaterals for the launch.

Bowery Farming is a vertical indoor farming and AgTech company producing pesticide-free leafy greens and herbs through a fully controlled growing system.

As Bowery prepared for a major brand launch, the challenge was not only introducing consumers to an unfamiliar category, but making a highly technical product feel culturally relevant and emotionally engaging.

Much of the category communicated through either hyper-scientific messaging or polished food porn. Leaning away from lettuce beauty shots, (just kidding, we did end up putting some in eventually), we saw an opportunity to give Bowery a more human and emotionally resonant voice.

At a moment defined by cultural exhaustion, negativity, and post-pandemic fatigue, we positioned Bowery as a small but genuine source of optimism. Covid was a strange time. This campaign reflects that strangeness.&#38;nbsp;

This thinking led to “Feel Good Greens,” a campaign built around the idea that while everything else might be chaotic, at least your lettuce could still be good.

Using humor, absurdity, and self-awareness, the campaign contrasted everyday frustrations with Bowery’s fresh produce through witty copy, playful animation, and an intentionally imperfect visual world.

The platform extended across OOH, social, digital, animation, retail, and experiential — including a full subway station takeover at Lafayette/Broadway in New York City that helped establish Bowery’s urban identity and visibility at launch.

The Visual Language:
The visual system embraced bold colors, hand-drawn illustrations, expressive typography, and offbeat compositions that intentionally moved away from the clean, sterile aesthetic common within the category.

Rather than feeling overly polished or overly technical, the campaign was designed to feel human, optimistic, and culturally aware while still reinforcing Bowery’s sustainability mission.

We also made 6 :15s and cutdowns for each of them.



Each spot followed a similar format, with different relatable subjects along the way.&#38;nbsp;







Along with the animations, we also created an entire static out of home campaign that was then displayed all over New York City—including a full take-over of 3 hubs in the city.

Evan Williams approached us to help launch its flavored bourbon range through an integrated campaign designed to introduce the line to a younger, more culturally engaged and diverse audience.

Working as part of the creative team at Method1, we developed a launch platform that positioned the flavors range as expressive, energetic, and socially driven, in contrast to the slower, more traditional visual language often associated with bourbon advertising.

The Opportunity:
Within the whiskey category, flavored products are often marketed either through traditional bourbon conventions or overly loud ‘enjoyment occasion’ advertising (backyard bbqs are fun, but you know...).

We saw an opportunity to build a campaign world that felt more contemporary and culturally connected. The Campaign:
This thinking led to “Bring the Flavor,” a campaign platform centered around energetic sensory expressions of freshness and bursts of flavor.

The integrated campaign extended across film, social, digital, retail, and experiential touchpoints while creating a cohesive launch identity for the flavored bourbon range.

The Visual Language:
The visual system leaned heavily into saturated color, piles of fresh fruit, fast-paced transitions, layered motion, and music-driven pacing to create a sensory world that felt dynamic and immersive.

Working alongside the team at The Mill, we developed a stylized launch film that blended bold product visuals, expressive environments, and rhythmic editing to establish the tone of the campaign and introduce the range with maximum impact.

Making this spot involved both live action and CGI—we worked on both aspects simultaneously, culminating in 
a week long shoot, followed by couple of months of post production work with The Mill.

for an individual flavor - which then eliminates the shots that feature the other 2 flavors.

Additionally, I also worked with photographer Dean Lavenson in Lousiville, KY, to create a series of still images for the brand to extend the campaign beyond the spot. I worked on all the design collaterals, including the tagline lockup, flavor badges, and various other campaign elements seen below.&#38;nbsp;

Epocrates, the first-ever mobile medical reference app, had become a staple in healthcare, used by millions of clinicians. But after two decades, its brand and interface felt dated. The challenge was to modernize without losing trust&#38;nbsp; and reintroduce Epocrates as a forward-thinking leader that empowers healthcare professionals in real time.

The new look extended across digital products, sales and marketing materials, CRM, and integrated advertising under a simple idea: “Because questions need answers.” Campaign work celebrated the app’s diagnostic power while reinforcing trust. The result was an identity that captured both innovation and immediacy while redefining a brand built for those who live it.

Evan Williams Bourbon, Kentucky’s first distiller, tasked us with relaunching their brand to celebrate their incredible history. 
We partnered with industry stalwart Andre Betz to create Where Bourbon Begins—a new campaign that will be the flagship creative centerpiece for the brand for the foreseeable future.&#38;nbsp;

We conceptualized and shot a :30 second spot to spearhead the campaign. Our goal was to create a spot that could celebrate both the provenance (the making of the product, and the comraderie within the workers at the distillery), as well as the finished product being consumed in what we call ‘enjoyment moments’.

Our spot told the story of a set of friends who work at the distillery, who then meet up after work to enjoy the fruits of their labour.&#38;nbsp;

Our protagonist leaves work and drives home, where he is promptly surprised by his friends who have decided to start an impromptu party at his place. And he’s more than willing to host.

Additionally, we also worked with photographer Rob Lawson and his brilliant team to capture a series of still visuals to support the campaign in other collaterals. These image were shot over 3 days at Evan Williams’ distillery in Bardstown, KY.&#38;nbsp;

I worked on the initial re-brand and then contributed as part of the team to various sections. The project taught me a lot about large scale production and how to expand a brand.

Tasked with making a Father’s Day centered ad for one of America’s finest Bourbons, I worked with my writing partner Dylan Hubert to come up with the concept for this spot.&#38;nbsp;

Elijah Craig has long established itself in Bourbon communities as a pioneer in the industry. To celebrate it’s incredible history and in an attempt to tie the brand to a known and celebrated occasion, we gave the brand a new tagline - the ‘Father of Bourbon’.

The spot was challenging to make - tasked with showing an emotional bond between a father and his child, we had to work around the various restrictions in the Spirits category. However, the opportunity to tell a story through a brand spot is one I’ve always been interested in.

We made a brand spot that told the story of a father receiving a letter from his son, getting lost in nostalgic memories, and eventually answering the doorbell to find his son who arrives just in time to surprise him.
