Tasked with making a Father’s Day centered ad for one of America’s finest Bourbons, I worked with my writing partner Dylan Hubert to come up with the concept for this spot.
Elijah Craig has long established itself in Bourbon communities as a pioneer in the industry. To celebrate it’s incredible history and in an attempt to tie the brand to a known and celebrated occasion, we gave the brand a new tagline - the ‘Father of Bourbon’.

The spot was challenging to make - tasked with showing an emotional bond between a father and his child, we had to work around the various restrictions in the Spirits category. However, the opportunity to tell a story through a brand spot is one I’ve always been interested in.


We made a brand spot that told the story of a father receiving a letter from his son, getting lost in nostalgic memories, and eventually answering the doorbell to find his son who arrives just in time to surprise him.
